Stories from the Inner City
These short videos were created as part of a project with youth from Regent Park – they used writing, and still photography to create short digital story-telling pieces exploring a significant moment or experience in their lives. These five inner city youth share stories that are poignant, intelligent and thoughtful.
In a country as diverse as Canada, we must strive to know each others’ stories – these pieces offer a rare opportunity to hear from young people we rarely invite to share their truths.
Themes Explored: The complex experiences of coming to Canada, interracial dating, police harassment, and ‘parenting’ your own parents.
