Julián is a Mermaid
Julián and his Abuela go swimming every week. One day on the way home from the pool Julián encounters three mermaids on the subway. He is WOWED by their beautiful hair, shimmering gowns and their unshakable confidence. Julián decides he wants to be a mermaid too, but what will his Abuela think?
Using visual arts, creative writing, drama, dance, and music we’ve created a beautiful unit appropriate for Primary/Junior students, exploring the following Big Ideas:
